Pre-war Fords "Den Hartogh Ford Museum" in Hillegom

Overview

Public auction by order of "Den Hartogh Ford Museum" due to making the largest private Ford collection in the world 'younger' (Guinness World Records) that will include 47 pre-war Fords and veteran and vintage vehicles.

BVA Auctions will be organising an exclusive Ford auction that will offer different pre-war Fords and special vehicles. The Ford vehicles come from the Den Hartogh Ford Museum and are in good condition. The Ford vehicles are being auctioned because the Ford Museum always wants to ensure that its range can be recognized by visitors. The decision was, therefore, taken to exchange the pre-war Fords for vintage vehicles that are not as old. The range of Fords consist of various vehicles produced in the 1910s, 1920s, 1930s and 1940s and range from buses to convertables.

Den Hartogh Ford Museum history
The Den Hartogh Ford Museum was founded by Piet den Hartogh. He purchased different vehicles from various countries down the years. Piet den Hartogh opened the Ford Museum in 1997 because of a lack of space. This site also had to be enlarged to ensure that the huge collection of Ford vehicles could be stored there. Now, the site counts three buildings that measure 5,000 m2 in total where veteran and vintage vehicles, a restaurant and two large rooms can be found. The current collection consists of models from the T-Ford, N-Ford, A-Ford, V-Ford and Lincoln series.
